Gentian in Bach flower therapy

properties, benefits, uses

Gentian ( Genziana Amarella / Genzianella)   is a plant that is generally found in the mountains, in the Alps, about 15-20 cm high, present in soils where irrigation is scarce, yet it resists and is not discouraged, it blooms between August and October , and has beautiful purple / fuchsia colors. Indicated for pessimists , who do not find the positive side of life, it is useful in cases of depression .

Gentian : properties and benefits

In 1931, Dr. Edward Bach discovers his eleventh plant, that is Gentian, which we can define with a key word as the “ disappointed ”, the discouraged, the dejected. This remedy fights the consequent reactive depression, a strong disappointment, the person here cannot find the positive side of the vision of reality, is born of pessimism, fearing that things are not going well and everything turns into disarming distrust; we begin to glimpse a bit of darkness, which can generate, in sick individuals, a delay in healing due to a lack of confidence.

There are cases of pupils who, after having had a scholastic failure, do not want to try again, are disenchanted, fall down at the first obstacle and tend to think negatively, already imagining the next failure.

Then in these cases Gentian brings a concrete benefit, such as confidence in tomorrow and in what will happen, making sure that the pupil or anyone else can recover a positive attitude, since the failure does not exist, the result does not matter, but the action that we perform, especially if we have done everything possible in our possession.

• Initial-inhibited emotions (before taking the flower):

Disappointment, listlessness tending to mild depression.

• Evolutionary-loose emotions (after taking the flower):

Trust, see the rainbow in the sky and continue on our happy path.

Gentian : uses

Gentian is indicated for those who present with reactive depression for known causes, often have a temporary mood of loss, of deep sorrow.

They are often people who have high ideals and hopes of doing good, and they also often tend to get excited. As Dr. Edward Bach , Gentian is: “… for those who easily lose heart. They can also progressively improve in their illness or in their daily affairs, but the slightest delay or that occurs in them generates hesitation and causes confusion and discouragement… ”.

This flower is precious for those who seek a happier and more hopeful look even when there are clouds in the sky, for those who are cyclothymics who manifest hypochondria , hardened skeptics and doubts of situations.
