Holly ( Ilex Aquifolium ) is part of the Aquifoliaceae family. Holly is a perennial tree, common in Europe, the Alps and southern China and is found above 400m. of altitude. The leaves are glossy green, sprout from the bottom, have resistant quills to protect themselves from forest animals. It ‘a shrub that grows in the woods generally, its berries are bright red, has flowers white and fragrant blooming in spring.
